Wundarra provides emergency, short and medium term care to children and young people. Our main referring agency is the Department of Community Services.
Our primary function is to provide safe residential care and support as required. In addition, Wundarra offers a range of programs and activities for children and young people who are placed within the Service. Our aim is to empower the child or young person and encourage their personal development in preparation for positive independent living. This is planned in close consultation with the referring agency.
Wundarra considers that the best interests of the child or young person is paramount at all times. It is this principle that underpins our service delivery and success as an innovative residential care agency.
